Her Ginsu Knives

Her Ginsu Knives

When we met I had a good job
Making six figures with weekends off
She said she liked my smile, and my Mercedes Benz,
My two story home and my heated pool
It wasn’t long before she moved in
Spending my money and drinking my gin
She said we’d be together forever more
What’s mine is yours and what’s yours is mine

Last night she said good bye
Good Luck
And don’t you cry
Last night she walked out the door
And all she left me was her Ginsu knives

Times turned bad and life got rough
The boss called me in and said were closing up
I lost my house, and my heated pool, lost my Mercedes and
My confidence too
She kept on spending tell my Visa died
Then she bought herself a set of Ginsu knives

Last night she said good bye
Good Luck
And don’t you cry
Last night she walked out the door
And all she left me was her Ginsu knives

I started singing on the streets
Playing guitar so I could eat
Then one day a man in a limo
Said hey boy you got what it takes
I’m going to make you a star

Now I got a girl who loves me more
Than anybody loved me ever before
And it don’t matter if I’m rich or poor
Cause will be together forever more

Last night I picked up the phone
The Ginsu lady was crying to come home
I said good luck and don’t you cry
By the way,
I gave-away your Ginsu knives
