Dear Friends,
These are tough and scary times around the world. Every continent is facing political turmoil, financial meltdowns, and millions of people without work. History has shown that when the world gets unraveled like this, the results are chaos and anarchy.
The world problems are being aggravated further by a population boom which will bring the world population to 11 billion people in just a few years. This is an unsustainable population for the Earth. It is impossible to feed, cloth, house, defend, provide for, employ, and improve the lives of 11 billion human beings. The planet can only sustain around 3 to 4 billion people in a comfortable middle class life style. The only reason the world can cope with the 8 billion people currently living on the planet is because, 66% of the world’s population live in absolute poverty. Another word’s, they take almost nothing from the plate of commodities that the world produces, and they also live very short lives because they have no access to modern medicine. If the impoverished majority population shared in Earths bounty, then the oceans would be barren of fish, the land would be without meat to eat, the world’s energy sources would be depleted, the air and seas would become polluted poisons, the forests would disappear, and humans would most likely become extinct. Many people believe that technology will overcome these problems. But in reality, it is technology which has created the population bomb. The average life span increases every year because of technology. We all want to live to be 130, but imagine how the world would be if we could. Technology has made it possible for the industrialized Countries to have the lowest death rate in recorded history. Science has already eliminated the need for human consummation for fertilization, and soon there will be no need for a female to carry a child in her womb as nature intended.
I hope the people of the world begin to realize that we humans are the problem, and the solution. But until we can figure out how to defuse the population bomb, things will only get worse. A good life for all human beings will be possible when we have a sustainable population. It is up to us.
